He is at first believed to be a boy named Nagato, who, like Konan and Yahiko were orphans from Amegakure, forcing them to fend for themselves. The three eventually encountered the Sannin, who at first where less than willing to help them. Orochimaru even suggested to kill them as they were orphans of war and as such would only live their lives full of misery. Jiraiya, however, decided he would care for the three and took them in. One night at dinner, Nagato cried because eating together reminded him of his family, and later that night he ran away with Yahiko.

The two where attacked by a Rock shinobi, who injured Yahiko. Seeing this, Nagato activated his Rin’negan, and killed the Rock Chunin, a feat that is normally impossible for someone who has never trained as a ninja or never had any military training or martial arts training. Jiraiya decided then and there he would train them in ninjutsu. Nagato was very emotional about killing the shinobi, and asked Jiraiya for help so he can protect Konan and Yahiko, where Jiraiya said he must grow up. After three years, Jiraiya felt they were strong enough to fend for themselves and told the three he would see them again when they grow into adults. Jiraiya believed Nagato to have died with the others under unexplained circumstances, but has told Konan that whenever their names were mentioned outside their village, it was always about someone being killed when they opposed them.

Pein has since led one side of Amegakure to taking over the village and has become a sort of god in that village. When Madara Uchiha founded Akatsuki is unknown but Pein is situated within Amegakure. The members of Pein’s faction wear their Amegakure forehead protectors with a scratch through it the way the full members of Akatsuki do.

Pein has six paths which are known as the “Six Paths of Pein” so that’s why there are 5 other people known as Pein with the Rinnegan Eye. Nagato (Pein) took the body of Yahiko, they were both pupils of Jiraiya along with Konan. Pein may look like Naruto and Minato Namikaze but the only one’s that are related are Naruto and Minato (Fourth Hokage), Pein is not related to Naruto neither the Fourth Hokage. well, i guess pain is somewhat related to naruto, since jiraiya went to the rain country to investigate and find something in his research, he loses to them though. and i think that information jiraiya given to that old frog is something that jiraiya thought about it but just unsure to himself. however we all know that naruto’s mom came from that country and that i think if she is not pein, and if she is still alive, she could be a big help to naruto in defeating pein. well let’s just find out.

Pein is not the leader of the Akatsuki, he just acts like it infront of the other members. Nor is he the founder. The founder and leader is Uchiha Madara. Plus, Pein is not related to Naruto. Just because they look the same, doesn’t mean their related. I mean, look at Gaara and Sasori, or Deidara and Ino (Not exactly look alike but still), they’re similar, but not related.

Theory #1——-I dont think Nagato is related to Naruto, people keep saying that there brothers, so lets say that they are brothers, then how come Naruto doesnt possess the Rinnegan, besides Pein has 6 different bodies the real one which is Nagato, which we havent seen grown up, because he is hiding while he controls the other bodies, and one of the bodies he possess is Yahiko I am guessin he betrayed him and took hes body.

Theory#2 Ok if Naruto is related to Nagato, then maybe he is hes lost brother, maybe when Minato was training with Jaraiya, Kushina got pregnant and didnt tell Minato, she felt weird and didnt really want to tell him because him being Hokage and stuff was enough work for him, so Nagato wondered a lot so when Nagato heard Kushina was pregnant again he got jealous and ran off because Kushina never wanted him to know about Nagato but he found out about Naruto, but Minato seem happy becoming a father, Kushina felt guilty about it, so she decided to tell him the truth about Nagato, but it was the day that the fourth Hokage was kill, and so Nagato ran away and i dont know the history of Kushina but im asuming she dies and Naruto is left alone. The clones formed possess any unique genetic traits or weapons the original has, but its abilities are proportionate to the amount of chakra given to the clone. Pein can control rain and can detect the movements and chakra levels of people traveling within it. Pein is shown to have six bodies in total that he is able to switch between. The bodies he is not currently using are kept in a type of machine, though it is unknown if the machine itself plays any role in the process. Of the four bodies he has been seen in, a number of similar characteristics have been seen, including the same orange hair color, a number of piercings that differ between bodies, and the Rinnegan. i am 100% sure that yondaime(4th hokage) is pein because when Yondaime use the jutsu against the 9 tailed beast, he transfer the evil chackra from the 9 tailed beast inside him same ting as he transfer the good chakra inside baby Naruto before he disappear. simple theyre the slained ninjas who is under utilized by pain including yahiko these “RIKOUDU’S” are one specializes abilities for pain itself but it has different abilities accordingly

Chikushoudou [Animal Realm]: This body was once a ninja from the Fuuma Clan. Jiraiya met this ninja earlier in his worldy adventures and put a scar on his forehead. It has the ability to summon multiple large animals. Like Pain, these creatures have Rinnegan eyes and multiple piercings.

Ningendou [Human Realm]: This body was once a ninja from Hidden Waterfall. It seems to specialize in close range Taijutsu attacks. It also possesses the ability to remove the souls of weaker opponents.

Jigokudou [Hell Realm]: This body has the apparent ability to resurrect the dead, though this may be a general ability all the Pain bodies share.

Shuradou [Asura Realm]: This strange looking body has the ability to fire its limbs in a missile-like fashion. It was also the body which blew off Jiraiya’s arm.

Gakidou [Hungry Ghost Realm]: This body was once a ninja from Hidden Grass. It has the ability to absorb chakra and element based attacks.

Well you asking Who’s Pain really so heres my breif answer

Pain was once a young Rain orphan named “NAGATO”. During his youth in the war torn Rain Country, he met fellow orphans Konan and Yahiko. Nagato was a quiet child who admired Yahiko’s desire to improve their living conditions and bring some justice to the world. The trio met the Sannin following the war with the Rain Village. Jiraiya took a liking to the children and stayed behind to look after them. Jiraiya was surprised to learn that the emotional and quiet Nagato was a wielder of the Rinnegan, the venerated Doujutsu once possessed by Rikudou Sennin, the man regarded as the original modern shinobi. Nagato and Yahiko were accosted by a vagrant Rock Ninja, and Yahiko moved to defend them. He was defeated and Nagato went into a berserk rage, quickly killing the ninja. Nagato was shocked when he finally regained control and Jiraiya promised to train the orphans so they could defend themselves.

Peins real name is Nagato (look it up) Nagato was one of the students of Jaraiya.

pein has an ability like Orochimaru that lets him move out through other peoples bodyies and duplicate his own soul alowing him to be several people.

Peins team mates included MAYBE Juggo or the body he’s in now as Pein also team member of Akatsuki (girl with purple hair with flower.

Pein is nagato (the black haired kid jiraiya trained after the war period). he owns the rinnegan but for some reason or a technique, he is controlling yahiko’s body(the other kid besides konan).

I would think that pein might be narutos long lost brother but on second thought they would look alot like eachother if they were brothers but the dont really look alike and its really confusing cuz their are rumers saying that pein is narutos brother but pein is most likey the age of narutos father. Pain is… - Nagato, a former student of Jiraiya. He controls the Six Paths of Pain from a Chakra Emitter. The main face of Pain that we often see, God Realm, is his former best friend, Yahiko, another former student of Jiraiya.

Most of you should probably have been able to realize this a LONG LONG time ago, because we know the Six Paths all have the Rinnengan, and we know that Nagato, not Yahiko, was the one that was shown to have this ability in the flashback chapters with the Sannin.

Pein probably isnt realted to Naruto in any way. Its possibly just a way to get people expecting that in one point in the story that they meet and figure out they’re related and then in the end, when they aren’t related what-so-ever, everyone is in awe saying: that cant be!

He is a member of the Akatsuki. NOT the leader. Tobi (A.K.A Madara) is the true leader. When Pein was younger, Pein (then known as Nagato) Konan,and Yahiko were left orpaned in rain village. They then encountered Jaraiya,who taught them the basic arts of Ninjutsu. Sometime after Jiraiya left the three, Pein then began a civil war,and killed Hanzo, his old village leader, the kage who was able to take on Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru at once, giving them the name “Sannin” as a consolation. To make sure there were no more sympathizers of Hanzo, he destroyed everyone in the village who could possibly be related to HAnzo, and rules there as a dictator of sorts. Pein is the one who makes it rain in the village.

Pein knows Rinnegan and he is the SECOND known possessor of this kekkei genkai (ocular jutsu). Rinnegan is the strongest amongst sharingan and byakugan. Rinnegan allows him to use all types of chakra, jutsu etc…. and master them at a very fast rate. the jutsu awakened when two leaf ninja accidentally killed his his mother and father thinking they were enemies, and he killed the shinobi.

He exists as six different bodies which share the same mind, known collectively as the Six Paths of Pein. The only common physical characteristics amongst them are their orange hair color, a number of piercings that differ between bodies. He is the strongest member of the akatsuki. The Rinnegan, first possessed by the founder of the ninja world and characterized by a number of concentric circles around the pupil, gives the wielder access to all six types of elemental chakra. It also allows the six Pains to share visual information seamlessly, giving him the ability to coordinate offense and defense of all six as if they were a single entity. Each of the six entities that are Pain were ninja that Jiraiya encountered as he wandered the world. Jiraiya met Nagato who, like Yahiko and Konan, was left orphaned by one of Amegakure’s many wars. Once meeting the three, Jiraiya looked after them and taught them basic jutsu before leaving to continue his exploration of the world. Sometime after this, Nagato began to believe that his childhood sufferings had enlightened him, and started to view himself as a god destined to teach the world the meaninglessness of fighting. It is unknown what happened after this, but the Pain entity soon appeared in Amegakure and began a civil war with the government of the time. Pain subsequently ended the war by singlehandedly killing the village’s leader, Hanzo. To make sure there were no sympathizers of Hanzo remaining in the village, Pain killed all of Hanzo’s family, friends, and affiliates, elevating himself to god-like status amongst the townspeople in the process. Pain now uses the village as his base of operations for Akatsuki, where he is partnered with Konan. Although he directs the actions of the other members and maintains authority over them, Pain takes orders from Tobi.

Also the entities have names, the main one that looks like Yahiko is the “God realm” and the others are animal realm, hungry ghost realm, human realm, demon realm, and hell realm. These names are based of the concept of Samsara.

Long Answer short, Pein is actually a puppetier called Nagato, who controls all the other Peins in the Akatsuki cloak. Nagato is never seen on the battlefield but on the highest point of battle so he can control the Peins. Jiraiya met Nagato i his traavelling years. Nagato possesses the rinnegan
