Kekkaishi: The Story Is Getting A Little Bit “Childish”

I wrote a review about Kekkaishi before. This one is a follow-up to that.
Errh… forgive me die-hard Kekkaishi fans, but up to episode 31 now, I do feel like the story is getting a little bit “childish”, other than there isn’t much of originality anymore.
To me I think Kekkaishi debut brilliantly at episode 1, and even more so as the episodes went on. What made me stick to Kekkaishi was because of its lighter concept in its story, comedy, while giving shounen fans some satisfactions in actions part. I have always known that Kekkaishi isn’t something for a much older anime fans, but for those below 17 or 18 it would suit them pretty well. But lately I feel like it has been limiting itself to a much younger anime viewers, probably of the age 15 at most, and below.
Anime viewers of the age 15 or below, I think, will enjoy Kekkaishi just the same, while a much older anime viewers will probably shift interest and move on. Probably.
I, honestly, would like to see something much more original which also adds up to the story, like the existence of Uro-sama and the realm of God, around episode 17. And how a kekkaishi is having a responsibility of fixing the God’s bed generation after generation. The flashbacks of how Yoshimori’s grandfather, Shige-ji, and Tokine’s grandmother went through the task showed us how the kekkaishi before them had gone through a task upon the title of a “kekkaishi”. Those episodes were superb. But lately it was about the Monster Trainer from Yagyou coming to Karasumori land to “test” the teamwork of these two kekkaishi and Gen, and some other Yagyou stuff which are so typical.
I can see that they’re trying to build up the story, like the Yagyou-Urakai stuff, but I feel like it’s getting old and there’s nothing new. If the original mangaka isn’t capable of producing something very thoughtful and provoking, like what I believe she was getting into, she could just stick to how Kekkaishi was before, which was an easy watch (easy read for manga). Getting into a heavier stroryline with less thoughtful plots is just killing the whole story to me.
